Starting a Book About My Life. Im 17. Please Tell Me What You Think, This Is a Short Start. PLEASE?

Question by Hayden Mayo: Starting a book about my life. Im 17. please tell me what you think, this is a short start. PLEASE?
Lonley Seeks Family.

Vanessa waited excitedly to read the test. “I know I’m pregnant this time,” she thought to herself, “I’ll give it 5 minutes.” She sat fidgeting on the edge of the dirty bathtub. She had taken many pregnancy tests before in her past, all negative, but this time she had a good feeling.
She walked out of the bathroom, trying to keep herself from peaking at the test. As she walked through her small 2 bedroom trailer, she glanced out the window and saw a young woman pushing a stroller. Looking at the stroller she could see the face of an excited 2 or 3 year old girl with beautiful dark hair and skin, staring back at her. She was unsure if the baby was actually looking at her or if it could even see her through the glared windows, but a warm burst of endorphins rushed through her body. She was excited, yet slightly terrified to look at the test. She was but one day late for her period.
She had been trying for 10 months now. Her fiance, 23 year old Terrance, was 5 and a half years older than her. She was young, but determined to start a family. She had been living on the streets for two years before she met Terrance. When Vanessa was 14 she was send to a Juvenile Behavioral Corrections facility for two months, and until the age of 16, she spent the majority of the time locked up. She had been to countless residential juvenile rehabs and observation programs. Her parents were poor and from paying for Vanessa’s treatment programs, they had become homeless and unable to support her. They had moved from Utah to Arizona 3 months before her 17th birthday right after her sister Jessica got out of rehab. When she moved, she found a group of friends that loved to do exactly what she did. She drank excessively, slept around and did any drug she could get her hands on, until she met Terrance one night while partying. They got to know each other and soon started seeing each other more and more. She felt like she could trust him like no other. Slowly, Terrance showed her some guidance towards a better life. It wasn’t long before she started to feel an undeniable passion and love for him that she had never experienced prior. Their biggest obstacle was the age difference. She promised him all the protection she could give to keep him safe from legal trouble, and they continues dating. They were together for 8 months when he finally proposed.
RING! Vanessa jumped at the sound of her cell phone ringing, while deep into thought. It was Terrance. She answered it. “Hey baby, how are you?” He said before she could say, “Hello?” “I’m good, hows work?” She replied. “It’s slow so I’m calling to check if you tested yet.” He said with obvious anxiousness. “OH SHIT!” She yelled, dropping the phone and running to the bathroom. She picked up the test with her eyes closed while making one last attempt at praying to whoever was listening, “Please..” She whispered. She looked down and her heart stopped. She couldn’t breath. She dropped to her knees still holding the test out in front of her. Her mind was racing so fast she didn’t even realize the tears streaming down her face. “Oh my god.”
